The incoming class at the University of Vermont will arrive on campus Friday.
With nearly 2,500 students, it is one of the largest in UVM history. And it is also the most diverse. UVM says a record 13.6 percent of the students in the incoming class are from minority groups. That's up from around 10 percent last year.
The new students come from 41 states and 10 countries; 600 are Vermonters; 18 percent are first-generation college students. The new class had an average SAT score of 1777.
