PITTSFIELD, Mass. (AP) - A newspaper company that owns publications in Massachusetts and Vermont has a new vice president who will be responsible for digital and print content for the company's publications.
Kevin Moran had served as managing editor of the Berkshire Eagle in Massachusetts, owned by New England Newspapers, Inc.
On Thursday, Moran assumed his duties as regional vice president for news, a new position.
The publications he will oversee include The Eagle, North Adams Transcript, Advocate Weekly in Massachusetts and the Vermont publications the Bennington Banner, Brattleboro Reformer and Manchester Journal.
New England Newspapers President Kevin Corrado says Moran has the passion, commitment and digital creativity needed to move forward in a changing media landscape.
The 42-year-old Moran has served as managing editor of both the North Adams Transcript and Brattleboro Reformer.
