Winooski students get iPads after thefts

Posted: Updated:

A thief took 50 iPads from a Winooski Elementary School; now insurance will pay to have them replaced.

Back in July, Winooski police released surveillance video of the alleged thief, 22-year-old Charles Ring, but police only found six of the stolen tablets.

Insurance paid to replace the stolen tablets and they will be handed out to fifth-graders to use in class. They will be locked in the classrooms at night for safekeeping.
