Former Mt. St. Joseph Star Jason Foster was waived by the Oakland Raiders early Saturday Night. NFL teams had to trim their rosters down to 53 players by today as the regular season gets going next week.
The offensive lineman said in a text message on Saturday Night, he was shocked by the move Foster said he played really well in all four Raiders Preseason games, not allowing a single sack. For most of training camp, foster was listed second on the depth chart at right guard. Now a free agent, Foster hopes another NFL team will come calling much like the Raiders did last season when Foster was cut by the Indianapolis Colts.
Upon hearing the news, Foster took to twitter and posted this statement:
"@jayfoster74 Just a small bump in the road that wont side track me. Thank you raider fans and everyone for the support u've shown me. You're all amazing!"
