Lake Champlain is the place to be this Labor Day weekend for many tourists.
Business on the water has been picking up for North Hero Marina as visitors from around the region spend time enjoying the views. And although summer is coming to an end, some of the best boating can be done in September and early October.
"The waters are less busy, the anchorages are more accessible because there are less boats. The wind for sailors is usually a bit more steady, so it's not over -- just keep getting on the water," said the marina's James Heintz.
Officials say if tourists are looking to get out on the water they should call ahead to avoid crowded docks.
