DERBY, Vt -

Hundreds of cyclists were getting dirty in the Northeast Kingdom this weekend.

The Dirty 40 is a 60 mile race bicycle race.  40 miles of the course are on dirt roads.  The goal is to have fun, get some exercise and raise money for families paying for cancer treatment.   The race began in Derby.  First place for the men was Todd Bowden of Connecticut.  The top racer for the women was Kathleen Lysakowski of Massachusetts.  The event raised $4,000.
