BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Burlington police say a New York man who was treated for stab wounds at a Vermont hospital is facing charges he lied to officers about the incident.
Police called to a North Willard Street address Sunday afternoon learned the man later identified as the victim of the stabbing, 28-year-old Hassan Folks, of New York, may have suffered stab wounds to the neck and arms.
Folks was treated and released at Fletcher Allen Health Care for his injuries.
When interviewed by police, Hassan allegedly refused to cooperate and provided false information to detectives. He was arrested and charged with giving false information to police. He's due in court Tuesday. It's unclear if he has a lawyer.
The resident of the apartment was charged with drug possession.
