Lamoille County housing program helps turn lives around

Posted: Updated:

There's a new push in Lamoille County to help people turn their lives around.

The United Way raised half a million dollars through donations to buy a house in Morrisville. There are strict requirements for the New Foundations Transitional Housing program, including zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol, daily job searches and volunteering. The goal is to move people into permanent housing and off state assistance.

Dawn Archbold is the executive director of the United Way of Lamoille County. And Jasmine Delude went through the New Foundations program. They both appeared on The :30 to discuss the program.
