CASTLETON, Vt. (AP) - Castleton State College in Vermont has set up four micro wind turbines on campus.
The college built its newest dormitory, Hoff Hall, with solar panels on the roof. The turbines, at 3 feet in diameter, are joining them in generating power.
Vermont Public Radio reports the college is working with JLM Energy of Rocklin, Calif., which is planning to gather data on how its equipment works in colder climates.
