WESTMINSTER, Vt. -

A slew of violations for a carnival company and its truck driver after an interstate crash Tuesday.

Police say the cotton candy truck was on its way from the Champlain Valley Fair in Essex Junction to Connecticut, when the driver lost control on Interstate 91 in Westminster and flipped over, hitting two Vermont state vehicles.

It turns out the driver's license had been suspended for 10 years in North Carolina. Police say he also had marijuana on him. DMV inspectors found 20 violations involving the driver, the vehicle or the company. The driver faces more than $800 in fines-- the company nearly $2,500. The driver also faces a gross negligent operation charge.
