Norwich, Castleton ready for 2013

Posted: Updated:

Both Norwich and Castleton opening things up on the road Saturday.

The Cadets are at RPI tomorrow at noon. It's the first time these two teams have met in 50 years. RPI has had great success in their last 19 season openers going 16-3. Last year, Norwich won all 3 of their non conference games before Falling to mt. Ida in the ECFC opener. So while the Cadets would like nothing more than to have another great start, this is all about getting things in order before the conference season begins.

The Spartans visit Plymouth State tomorrow at 1 p.m. Castleton is returning seven starters on both offense and defense. The Spartans offense has been potent the last few years ranking third in the nation in passing yardage. While quarterback Shane Brozowski is gone, senior receiver Brandon Boyle is looking to stop catching TD passes anytime soon. The team as a whole is focused on not letting up after a successful 2012 campaign.
