SOUTH LONDONDERRY, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say they have solved the burglary of a large amount of copper piping from a house in South Londonderry.
Police say they stopped a suspicious vehicle in South Londonderry that contained the piping that police say had been stolen from a home.
Authorities estimate the removal of the piping caused between $5,000 and $10,000 in damage to the home's plumbing and heating system.
Police have arrested 35-year-old Shawn Holden of Chester and 40-year-old Todd M. Gilchrist of Springfield on charges of stealing the piping and placing it in the vehicle. Both are being held at the Springfield prison.
The driver of the vehicle - 37-year-old Jodi L. Crawford of Springfield - also is facing burglary charges. She could not be reached for comment.
