Bacon lovers in Barre were in hog heaven this weekend.
Wilkins' Harley-Davidson hosted its first ever Oink Fest. Cooks were invited to show off their best bacon recipes. Mike Simmons' spicy Meat muffins took third place. Teresa Beaudin took second for her salty and smooth Hog Heavenly Fish Chowder. First place went to Kurt King and his Pig Candy. A sausage and cheese stuffed date wrapped in panchetta and bacon. Pierce Reid's Bacon Turtles won for best presentation.
Molly Smith was lucky enough to judge the competition so she got to try all the dishes. It was a great day at work. Congratulations to all the participants.
