BETHLEHEM, N.H. (AP) - Police say a woman suffered minor injuries after she was hit by a police cruiser while crossing Main Street in Bethlehem, N.H., over the weekend.
They say 22-year-old Chelsi Shedd of Whitefield stepped off the sidewalk near the Colonial Theatre about 10:45 p.m. Saturday when she was struck by the cruiser driven by a local police officer. The officer was not able to stop in time.
Police said Shedd was crossing the road diagonally and was not at a crosswalk. Her vision was possibly obscured by two parked vehicles.
The New Hampshire State Police are investigating the accident.
