Both the Castleton and Norwich football teams have their home openers tomorrow. A lot of hype surrounding these games for very different reasons.
Norwich takes on St. Lawrence at 1:30. It'll be the first football game played on the new turf at Sabine Field. Gone are the mud patches and puddles, now it's a slicker faster surface. With all the alumni expected to be at the game, the Cadets want to put their best foot forward and at the same time erase the memories of last week's season opening loss.
Meanwhile, it's been an eventful week for the Castleton football team. It started Wednesday when news came out that quarterback George Busharis and senior All-American wide receiver Brandon Boyle were cited for theft at a rutland town sporting goods store. In all six players were suspended indefinitely, but Busharis and Boyle are the main components to Castleton's high powered offense. Guys will have to step up even more as the team tries to put aside the distractions from the past week.
