CASTLETON, Vt. (AP) - Rescue crews say a kayaker reported missing on Vermont's Lake Bomoseen is safe.
Firefighters and rescue crews from five towns and agencies were called to Crystal Beach in Castleton at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday after they received a report a woman who had been kayaking with a group was missing.
Castleton Fire Department Lt. Brent Clark tells the Rutland Herald the woman was soon found by a Hubbardton search team on the west end of the lake, far from where the members of the group had launched their boats.
The woman's name was not released. She was not hurt.
