Driver's licenses with special designations for veterans are now available in Vermont.
Both a driver's license and a non-driver ID card designating veteran status are available.
Vt. Motor Vehicles Commissioner Rob Ide says the increased visibility will help provide veterans the services and benefits they have earned.
The new licenses are available at all six DMV branch offices and two mobile units. Those interested must first register with the State of Vermont Office of Veterans Affairs (OVA).
OVA will verify all applicants to ensure veterans receive the specialized license.
For more information contact OVA at 888-666-9844.
