RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) - A New York man has been sentenced to three years in jail for his role in a home invasion in Rutland, Vt.

Alexander Jimenez pleaded guilty Thursday to three charges of aiding in the commission of a felony. He reached a plea agreement with prosecutors.

The Rutland Herald reports the 28-year-old Jimenez was arrested early last year. Police said he and two other men, Shane Haven and Daniel I. Martinez-Pineda, broke into a house armed with golf clubs and a knife, attacking the occupants.

Police said they found Jimenez with $500 and a video game system with the name of one victim's daughter written on it with a marker.

Haven was sentenced to serve two to 10 years in prison. Martinez-Pineda was sentenced to about five years in prison.
