CARROLL, N.H. (AP) - State and local police are trying to find a man who was involved in an hours-long standoff at a home in Carroll, N.H.
Police say it started when a weapon was pointed at an officer during a welfare check made at the house at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Police said it was the home of Carla Vaughn.
Police said after repeated attempts throughout the night to communicate with the occupants, the SWAT Team deployed police tactics to gain entry into the house Friday and a woman was found. They said the woman, who was not named, was experiencing a medical emergency and was taken to a hospital.
Police said they searched the living quarters of the house for the man, but he was not found.
