BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Federal prosecutors want to sit down with Donald Fell, who recently appealed his death sentence.

Fell was convicted of killing Terry King of North Clarendon back in 2000. He was sentenced to death. Now, prosecutors are contesting his appeal and are asking that he undergo a mental health evaluation. They want to interview him about his attorneys' conduct.

Fell's lawyers have not yet said whether he will or will not.
