HINESBURG, Vt. (AP) - Two men charged with providing alcohol to a teenager who died after an ATV crash this spring have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Police affidavits say 23-year-old Patrick Poon of Williston and 27-year-old Kent Richland of South Burlington provided liquor to 16-year-old Clinton Norris two days before he died in May.
Norris was found unconscious about a half-mile from his home in Hinesburg after taking out the ATV for a drive. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
The Burlington Free Press reports that if convicted, Poon and Richland face up to two years in prison and $2,000 in fines.
