MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Auditor Doug Hoffer has started four new audits of community health and developmental disability groups, the state sex offender registry, the Department of Liquor Control and the state energy plan.
The objectives are to: summarize how the Agency of Human Services funds the community health and developmental disability groups under master grant agreements; assess the extent to which the data in the sex offender registry are reliable and current; assess whether changes to the liquor department's distribution system would enhance revenue and reduce costs; and determine whether state agencies have reduced energy consumption.
