The Burlington City Council has
postponed discussion of a resolution about the F-35.
The resolution deals with whether
Burlington, as owner of the airport and landlord for the Air Guard, can insist
the Guard not fly F-35s. City attorney Eileen Blackwood was researching that
theory when she discovered an unrelated problem-- that the city does not have
proper liability insurance for it airport officials.
The city is taking care of the problem, but has decided
to postpone the discussion on the airport resolution.
