Firefighters rescue kitten from Cabot fire

Posted: Updated:
CABOT, Vt. -

Fire tore through a mobile home in Cabot Tuesday. It happened on Danville Hill Road. Fire crews say they knocked it down quickly, but not before it did serious damage to one end of the home. They believe an electrical problem in a bedroom may have started the fire.

No one was hurt. The Red Cross is helping the family with housing for now.

And crews say they saved the family pet-- and the rescue was caught on camera. They worked on a kitten that was pulled from the structure, providing oxygen. The fire chief says the tiny cat was doing well when crews left the scene.
