'Captain Phillips' hits theaters Friday

WILLISTON, Vt. (AP) - A movie about the Vermont captain of an American Cargo ship hijacked by Somali pirates is opening to national audiences.

"Captain Phillips" starring Tom Hanks hits theaters on Friday.

The movie got an early screen on Oct. 1 in Vermont, home to the real-life Captain Richard Phillips of Underhill.

The movie is adapted from his memoir about the 2009 ordeal.
