Ryegate man arrested for interfering with investigation

RYEGATE, Vt. -

A 55-year-old Ryegate man is free this morning after, state police say, he threatened troopers.

Initially, they responded to shots fired on Davenella Drive.

When they got there, troopers say, Gary Lipp was setting off fireworks.

They say, Lipp threatened the troopers and suggested they stop their investigation.

He was then arrested for disorderly conduct, possessing and using explosives, obstruction of justice and resisting arrest.
