MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - The former director of litigation at the National Archives and Records Administration is giving a progress report on the management of government records.
Jason Baron is scheduled to speak on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m. in the Pavilion Building auditorium in Montpelier. The event is free.
Vermont Secretary of State Jim Condos says there are many parallels between the Federal Managing Government Records Directive and the initiatives of the Vermont State Archives and Records Administration to modernize and improve records and information management.
Baron, a lawyer, is an internationally recognized lecturer and author on electronic records. He was lead counsel in landmark litigation involving the preservation of White House email.
