Cats back from North Dakota

Posted: Updated:

UVM Head Hockey Coach Kevin Sneddon said the weekend at North Dakota was a tale of two games.  Friday, the team learned lesson on how not to play with a lead, blowing a 3-1 advantage to lose, 5-3.  Saturday however,  the Cats didn't quit finding a way to comeback from a 2-0 defect to finish in a 2-2 tie.  The theme throughout the weekend was the surprising play of the Freshman in such a hostile environment.  Goalie Mike Santaguida made 31 saves in each of the two games and two of the three goals scored Friday night were by freshman.

Santaguida could get the start in net at Penn State in a couple of weeks.  Sophomore goaltender Brody Hoffman is still day to day with a lower body injury.
