WESTMINSTER, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police who stopped a man on Interstate 91 for speeding discovered he was wanted in Massachusetts on multiple drug trafficking and possession charges.
Police stopped 26-year-old Robert Hansen of Bellows Falls at about 4 p.m. Thursday on the interstate in Westminster.
He was arrested as a fugitive from justice, wanted on an active warrant from Springfield, Mass.
Hansen was jailed at the Southern State Correctional Facility on $50,000 bail and was being arraigned on the fugitive from justice charge Friday. It wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer.
