Once again, we have plenty of weekend activities in store for you and the family on this beautiful fall Saturday.

WAGON RIDES

Although the foliage may be starting to fade, join the folks over at Billings Farm & Museum as they bring out the colors with a narrated horse-drawn adventure through their farms fields at the 7th Annual Autumn Wagon Ride Weekend. The scenic tour brings guests through the dairy farm and restored and furnished farmhouse. Farm life exhibits and cider pressing are among the days activities.

Saturday and Sunday Oct. 19&20, 10am-5pm

Admission: adults: $12.00; 62 and over: $11.00; children 5-15: $6.00; 3-4: $3.00; under 3: free

APPLE PIE CONTEST

Bring the whole family out to the 14th Annual Cabot Apple Pie Festival today! Bakers of all ages compete in the much anticipated pie contest, as judges' taste buds chose the best fall flavored dessert. A silent auction will go to benefit the Cabot Historical Society.

Saturday 9am-3pm, Free to attend; cost of food and drink

TECH JAM

This morning marked day two of the 7th Annual Tech Jam - a two-day job fair and tech exposition. Dozens of Vermont's fastest growing companies and organizations have come together to present exhibits, hands on demonstrations, panel discussions and workshops.

Saturday, October 19, 10am-3pm at the Memorial Auditorium, Burlington. Admission: Free

CIDERFEST

Taste over twenty different kinds of apples and sip on hard, iced or sweet cider at the Champlain Orchards Ciderfest in Shoreham this afternoon. Old-time string band Run Mountain brings the banjo, fiddle, guitar, harmonica and ukulele to life as they perform throughout the afternoon.

Saturday October 19, 3pm-7pm, $10-$18

CHARITY RUN

Run for a cause this morning in the Burlington Firefighters 5k for MDA, raising funds and awareness for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The race kicks off at Oakledge Park and is followed by a barbeque for all participants.

Race begins at 10:30 am, $30 registration fee, $35 day off

HARVEST DANCE

Pull out your dancing shoes for the Hartland Harvest Dance at Damon Hall tonight. The Moonlighters will be playing everything from swing to soft-rock all night long as couples dance for a cause, raising money for the Hartland Food Shelf.

Saturday october 19th, 8-11pm, $12-$22 per couple - pre registration required

QUILT SHOW

31st Annual Quilt Show - Inspired by Color Oct. 19 - 20, Shelburne The Champlain Valley Quilters' Guild presents a spectacular display of judged and non-judged quilts, theme challenge quilts, demonstrations, and special exhibits including: Quilts of Valor, Friendship Quilts, and Vermont Landscape Quilts.
