BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. (AP) - Vermont Secretary of Education Armando Vilaseca is spreading the message of respect and hard work among schoolchildren during a series of weeklong activities to create more awareness about bullying and drug use.
Vilaseca spoke at Bellows Falls Middle School on Monday. He told the students that being nice to one another is the single thing that people will be remembered for.
The Eagle Times reports Vilaseca said he's known many students who just hate coming to school because they didn't like the way some people treated them.
