MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Vermonters can get rid of expired and unwanted prescription drugs this weekend during Drug Take Back Day organized to safely dispose of the drugs and keep them out of the hands of abusers.
Police agencies will be hosting 57 collection sites around the state on Saturday where medications can be dropped off with no questions asked.
Last year, Vermont held two drug take back days and collected 3,405 pounds of prescription drugs.
The collection sites are listed online at vsp.vermont.gov/drugtakeback.
