One of the Danville school officials charged for failing to report a suspected case of abuse has reached a plea deal with prosecutors.
Danville Principal Noah Noyes and district superintendent Martha Tucker were charged with misdemeanors after state police say they didn't report an allegation that a teacher improperly touched a student. Noyes and Tucker say they determined the allegation was without merit and did not need to be reported to state investigators.
But now Noyes has now reached a deal with prosecutors to move the case into court diversion. That means if he complies with conditions set by the court, his record will be expunged.
