MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - The two health insurance companies operating in Vermont will reach out to their small business clients over the next few days with instructions on how to enroll people after the state extended the deadline for when those businesses must switch to the new system.
And staff with Vermont Health Connect will help people sign up for health care plans offered through Health Connect.
The enrollment details were released Friday, a week after Gov. Peter Shumlin announced the state was extending the enrollment deadline to the end of March because of problems people and businesses had signing up for new health care plans.
Health Access Commissioner Mark Larson says it's all about giving Vermonters information, time and options when making health care decisions.
