An update to an alleged travel scam we told you about last month.
Travel Suppliers of America was given a cease and desist letter by the Attorney General's office because their contracts violated Vermont law. The Attorney General's office says Travel Suppliers left the hotel and promised to refund Vermont customers who requested to cancel their contracts. At least two people have received a full refund.
And after we aired this story, the Attorney General's office said the publicity scared off another travel club business, Netrate Concepts. That company had two seminars scheduled this month and had been sending out postcards to lure Vermonters to the sessions. Their contracts also didn't comply with Vermont law, and the company cancelled their seminars.
