If Sen. Bernie Sanders runs for president he could have support from former Gov. Howard Dean.
Dean says right now he is backing Hillary Clinton if she decides to run in 2016. But he said if Sanders got in the race, he'd have to consider supporting the home state candidate.
Sanders says he is 99 percent sure he would not run, but has left the door open, saying there needs to be more focus on the disappearing middle class.
Reporter Kristin Carlson: What do you think about Senator Sanders weighing a run for president?
Former Gov. Howard Dean: I think it's great. Let him do it, why not?
Kristin Carlson: Really?
Howard Dean: Sure, I think it's a good thing to have lots of kinds of people out there who can make articulate points about things that are right and wrong. Not everyone will agree with him, but I think it's important to give voters lots of choices.
Dean recently visited Iowa, prompting speculation about his own presidential plans. But the 65-year-old says he doesn't think he will run again.
