Elizabeth Keatinge joined the WCAX news team in November 2013.
She comes to Vermont after reporting for the NBC affiliate KGNS in Laredo, Texas, where she covered southern border issues and immigration topics in both English and Spanish.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Calif., Elizabeth started her media career in print, working on the West Coast for Mademoiselle and Esquire magazines. She then moved to New York City, where she worked as a reporter/producer covering entertainment news for the New York Post, then as a reporter for MTV Networks online. She covered international events abroad such as the Cannes Film Festival. Her articles have appeared in many other publications such as The Washington Post and Yahoo.
Although Elizabeth had become an established print journalist, she knew she still had a passion for broadcast journalism. She decided to further her dreams and began her broadcast career as a news writer at the Fox affiliate WSVN in Miami, Fla., soon found herself reporting at KGNS in Texas, and now here at WCAX.
Elizabeth holds a B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles, and studied journalism at Georgetown University.
She loves adventure and is looking forward to future flying lessons as well as her next skydive.
