Windsor man slashed in drunken fight

Posted: Updated:

A Windsor man was slashed in the throat after an alleged drunken fight with a friend. It happened Monday night near a home on Bavier Avenue.

The victim, William Plaster, was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police say the suspect, Robert "Ty" Whitcomb, is in custody and there is no threat to the public.

The road was shut down for much of the day as police continued to investigate.

Whitcomb pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday to aggravated assault. He was held for lack of $7,500 bail.
