For decades, he's entertained audiences across the state, but Tuesday marked a milestone for Rick & the Ramblers.
It was the final show of the Vermont Western swing band's 50th anniversary tour, performing at the Sheraton Hotel for the Lake Champlain Chamber of Commerce dinner. Rick & the Ramblers have played 18 shows since April. The tour raked in more than $50,000. The money will be used to fix up the band's signature bus-- the pickle.
Although they've been touring for five decades, these guys have no intention of slowing down.
"This may be the last show of this tour, but I am certainly going to go back around to the many places in Vermont that I played in. And it was just a way to kind of focus on the places and the times that I've had over the years. But it certainly doesn't mean it's the end of it," Rick Norcross said.
Rick says for the final show they had a 10-piece Rambler band jamming out on stage, much larger than their typical crew.
