Governor Peter Shumlin is calling state workers with the Transportation Agency "boneheads." That's according to a report from the Rutland Herald.
The comments come after AOT employees notified the town that signs celebrating Mount Anthony Union High School's 25-year streak of wrestling state championships could not be displayed on state roadsides.
The agency argued the signs on routes 7 and 9 violated state law.
Shumlin said he would try to get the "boneheads" in state government to retract the demand.
