We have some ideas for What to Do on Saturday, November 16, 2013:

WINTER FAIR

Ease into the chilly winter weather at this weekend's "Fall into Winter" Fair at the Orchard Valley Waldorf School in Montpelier. Bring the entire family for great live music, outdoor games, crafts and even a circus room for kids!

10am-3pm, Free to attend

BIKE JAM

If you're a bike enthusiast or just looking for a unique Saturday morning activity, be sure to check out the Bike Jam at Bike Recycle Vermont this weekend. Employees help low-income locals with bike repairs, while others create crafty jewelry out of old bicycle parts.

9am-1pm

LEGO TOURNAMENT

Lego masters ages 9-14 put their robotics-design skills to use this weekend at the Lego League Qualifying Tournament. Teams compete at the Plumley Armory for a spot in the national competition.

9am-3:30pm, Norwich University, Free

FARMER'S MARKET

The Burlington Indoor Winter Farmers Market is back for the season! Farmers, artisans and producers bring their fresh foods and crafts indoors this weekend with live music, lunch seating and activities at the Memorial Auditorium in Burlington.

10am-2pm, Free entrance

LATE FALL HIKE

Get out your hiking boots and join in the four-mile trek to Butler Lodge at Mount Mansfield State Forest in Stowe. Phil Hazen leads the group, of no more than 10, from the Stevensville Trailhead to up to 1700 feet in elevation.

8am start, Free but pre-register

ART SHOW AND SALE

Discover unique photography, pottery, sculpture and paintings created by members of the Milton Artists' Guild themselves, at the Holiday Art Show and Sale today. Listen to live music entertainment as you shop the collection of crafts. Held at the Grange Hall in Milton.

9am-4pm, Free

HOLIDAY SHOPPING

Proctor Elementary PTO is hosting a fundraising Holiday Shopping Day November 16 from 10am to 4pm at the Elementary School. A wide variety of crafters and nationally known home party consultants will be on hand to sell their wares, as well as raffles and a bake sale. Proceeds go towards student field trip and special events.

AUCTION

The Colchester-Milton Rotary Club is hosting a fundraising auctino at 6 p.m. at the Hampton Inn in Colchester. There will be food and drinks. There will be hundreds of items including gift certificates to restaurants, hotels, gasoline service stations and local merchants, sports equipment, local radio/TV advertising, gift certificates for various services throughout Chittenden County. All donations received will be included in our advertising on their website CMRotary.org.

POLICE CANINE BALL

This event is a fundraiser to help police dogs get the equipment and care that they need. Half the proceeds go to Lacey's Fund. It's at 6:00 pm at the Sheraton Burlington Hotel & Conference Center. There will be dinner and dancing, a silent auction, and raffle. Tickets are $40 apiece or $75 a pair and can be purchased on their website http://www.vtk9.com.

HUNTERS' BREAKFAST

There are MANY hunters' breakfasts going on statewide -- our Facebook page has a posting with many details from people in their communities. Here is one other in Northfield, a hunters' breakfast and sock hunters' breakfast. The Northfield Masons will cook the breakfast starting at 4:30 a.m.- 10 a.m. It costs $8 a person. The Northfield Masonic Temple is a stone's throw up S. Main St. from the Post Office.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND

The White River Valley Players are putting on their production of Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland". Performance on the 16th is at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at 2 p.m. Performances will be at the Rochester High School Auditorium in Rochester, Vermont. It's $12 general admission, $10 seniors, and $25 family.
