Police release video from Winooski school lockdown

WINOOSKI, Vt. -

Police released dramatic new video from the school lockdown in Winooski.

The images show armed officers entering the school.

The incident started with a suspected home invasion on nearby Weaver Street. Police say two men with guns reportedly fled that scene. One was tracked by police dogs to the side of the school, prompting police to order a lock down. About 40-50 students and 20 adults were forced to stay inside.

Authorities say someone inside the school called someone outside the building to tell them what was happening. The police response to the campus came after a third party called 911 saying there was a gunman in the school. That information turned out to be false.
