BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - City and community organizations are preparing to present their ideas for improving Burlington's waterfront.
The groups are discussing their proposals Wednesday and Thursday at Public Investment Team meetings.
The groups have requested a total of about $17 million in tax increment financing funds.
City Council committees are expected to review proposals in December to prepare for a Council vote in January and a public vote in March.
The Burlington Free Press reports nine proposals were finalists in October, ranging from developing the former Moran Plant building into a mixed-use community center, upgrading paths, building a pool, adding a sailing center, and creating a marina.
