A satellite made by Vermont college students rocketed into space Tuesday.
NASA and the Air Force launched the private Minotaur rocket from Virginia. On board were 29 tiny satellites which will be deployed into orbit around the earth. One of those satellites is called the CubeSat. It's a cube measuring just 10 centimeters on each side. It's a project of the Vermont Space Grant Consortium and involves students and faculty at Vermont Technical College, Norwich University, the University of Vermont and St. Michael's College.
