Christmas tree display benefits families

Posted: Updated:

The first big weekend of Christmas shopping also came with reminders that this is the season of giving.

Volunteers from businesses and organizations in Clinton County have been decorating Christmas trees at the Champlain Centre mall in Plattsburgh. The 44 trees were decorated with imaginative and creative Christmas themes. They will be on display for the rest of the week and then raffled off.

The proceeds will go to the Advocacy and Resource Center in Plattsburgh. The agency provides services to hundreds of developmentally disabled individuals and their families.

Tickets for the "festival of trees" are 5-dollars each. All of the Christmas trees will be raffled off Saturday, December 7th.
