Mobile Medical International makes mobile health care facilities and shelters, mostly for the military.
Owner Rick Cochran tells WCAX News that 20 employees were temporarily laid off Monday because of "a lull" in business due to military budget cuts. Cochran says all 20 employees will be back on the job next week, working to fulfill two current contracts. And he says the company is working to close four new contracts that should keep employment stable going forward.
