ART HOP

The South End Arts & Business Association is holding its 6th Annual South End Holiday sHOP event on December 6-8, 2013. Over 40 businesses, studios, and artist markets will be open for holiday shoppers looking for those one-of-a-kind locally made gifts. For more info, please visit http://seaba.com/holiday-hop/

INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL:

The Vermont International Festival aims to expose visitors to a variety of cultures -- including food and crafts from around the world. More than 40 vendors and organizations are expected to be on hand for the 21st year of the event. It's open 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Saturday. Tickets will be on sale at the door: $7 for adults; $5 for children 6-12 years old; $5 for seniors (65+); $20 family pass; children under 6 are FREE. Admission is good for the entire weekend. ICE WINE TASTING

Boyden Valley Winery is holding its Vermont Ice Wine & Cocktail Open House. Ice wine will be paired with chocolates and cheese and there's sleigh rides too. That's from 10 to 5.

GOSPEL CHOIR

The Plattsburgh State Gospel Choir is having their annual "Soulful Christmas" show coming up on December 8th, 4pm, Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall; featuring the "Apple Crate" choir from Peru Intermediate School.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST

The West Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department is holding its pancake breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The breakfast menu includes regular, chocolate chip, blueberry and cranberry pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage and bacon. Coffee, milk and orange juice are also available. All are welcome. Prices are $7.00 for 12 years and up, $5.00 for 5-12 years and free to children under the age of 5 years. Proceeds from the breakfast are dedicated for the department's equipment and training needs.

MOTHER-DAUGHTER TEA

There will be a mother-daughter tea to mark the start of the holiday season at the Inn at Baldwin Creek, 1869 Rte. 116 in Bristol. It's a three-course afternoon luncheon in the main dining room. The cost is $25 adult / $15.00 child.

"SENSORY FRIENDLY" SANTA SESSION

At the Burlington Town Center mall from 11 to noon there's a special "Caring Claus" Santa session for kids with autism. Overhead music will be turned off. Contact the mall with questions.

RADIO CAR RACING

The Barre Town RC Speedway is having a latemodel driver's race at 10:30 a.m. at 163 Circle Street. Call 802-839-7171 or visit www.barretownrc.net

GINGERBREAD HOUSE REPLICA

FESTIVAL OF TREES

The St. Albans Festival of Trees wraps up Sunday at City Hall. It's 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Ballet School of Vermont will be performing "Scrooge," an adaptation of "The Christmas Carol." For more details visit www.festivaloftreesvt.com
