Turning a car dealership into a venue to adopt cats and dogs.
The adoption event - at the Subaru Dealership in South Burlington - was put on with help from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
ASPCA used the money from donations they received to hold this adoption event. Animals from the Humane Society of Chittenden County all found new homes on Saturday.
"So far we've had 15 animals adopted already within the first 2 hours. 1 litter of puppies was adopted in the first half hour and we had a line forming before we even opened at noon, so it's been great," says Megan Stearns of the Humane Society Chittenden County.
The event is part of Subaru's annual "Share The Love" campaign. The campaign runs all holiday season - when a Subaru car is purchased, the customer picks a charity, and Subaru donates $250 to the selected charity.
