Talks over uses for new Adirondack land

RAY BROOK, N.Y. -

Talks next week in New York will try to determine how new state land in the central Adirondacks can be used.

The Adirondack Park Agency is considering recommendations for the land in the towns of Indian Lake, Minerva, and Newcomb.

Some of those include labeling 33,000 acres as motor-free wilderness areas and a new snowmobile trail.

Those discussions are Wednesday through Friday in Ray Brook.
