A nonprofit group has donated close to $23,000 worth of protective vests to police dogs in Vermont and New Hampshire.
The special vests provide two dozen police dogs protection from both bullet and stab wounds.
"Vested Interests in K-9s" is the group. They raise money from companies and individuals to help law enforcement agencies buy the body armor for dogs, which can be expensive.
Each vest costs close to $1,000.
